There's nothing in the world like a Southern California night...
::loves::
I haven't updated this thing in a while. So I thought I'd at least make an entry sometime in July before the month is over. Although I don't know what to talk about. I'm really quite boring.
I went to Warped tour on the ninth. It was pretty cool. Although over half of the bands that I bought my ticket for weren't even at my date. But there was still some great people there. Especially Horrorpops, Reggie and the Full Effect, Aiden (although I only saw the first half of their set), and The Unseen. I saw a bunch of other people too. Hidden In Plain View and Amber Pacific were fun too. And I actually went to see My Chemical Romance with the people I came with (which I swore I wouldn't do) and they only played one old song. I know they have a new album out and all, but some of the other bands played old stuff when they were up. Especially The Offspring. They were marvelous too. It was almost like a greatest hits set. I loved it. I met them too, along with Senses Fail, Atreyu (don't get any ideas, I don't like them), two of the guys from Aiden, The Bled, two of the guys from River City Rebels, Tim Armstrong, and some other people. Yeah...a bunch of other shiz happened too, but I've either forgotten it or am just too lazy to type it out. Most likely the last one.
And speaking of My Chemical Romance, I had this really strange dream about them last night. I dreamt that they were playing a show in some weird place that nobody knew about, so there was only like ten or fifteen people in the audience. Anyways, I was sitting up on some weird tree because my family was doing something in another room (I think the place was supposed to be like a community center or something) and they told me to go there. I was all huffy-breathed because in my dream I remembered Warped and thought they'd only play new songs. But then they started off with "Our Lady of Sorrows" (which was the only old song they played at Warped) so I got excited and climbed onto a lower branch. Then after that they played another old song, and then another, and then another. So I ran down in front of the stage with the other five people who wear out of their seats and started singing and dancing like no other. The other people in the crowd were some more of the new fans of theirs, I guess, because they didn't know any of those songs and just looked at me weird when I was singing (which the real life new fans were doing at Warped). So the band was all like 'Oh yay, you know our old songs' and whatnot, and they just played the entire first record for their whole set. It was like a dream. No new shit at all. I wish that was how it was in real life. Then maybe I'd be excited if I even heard their name instead of cringing at the thought of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. It was a pretty nice dream. I think I had it because I fell asleep listening to the old album. I hadn't listened to it in forever. And then I got really happy. Hot damn, I wish they would've only had that album. It's so much more worthy of anything.
Yeah okay, enough of that. I'm going to Yakima tomorrow to spend some number of days with my cousins. Should be fun. I'm excited. I did the same last year, except last year I went in the beginning of July. I don't know exactly how long I'm staying. At least a week. I'm thinking that I'm coming back on the seventh or the eighth. I have to miss a bunch of shows I was planning on going to (Allister! The Adolescents!) but I think we're going to the KGRG Summer Riot thing on the 13th. I'm hoping to get back on the seventh, because then maybe we can make it to see The Beautiful Mistake. Although that's doubtful. Anyways, I haven't seen those cousins since June, so I can't wait to go. They're all really fun. And pretty close to my age. The youngest (and the one I'm closest to) is 14 (about to be 15 in September, so she's only four months younger than me but a full grade below), the middle is 17, and the oldest is 18. They have and older sister and brother in their thirties too, but I mainly see the sister more. She's awesome too. Totally not your typical adult. I love it. Oh yeah, and our family reunion is next Saturday, and if you knew what our family reunions are like, you'd know it's definately filled with drunken bets and fifty year olds playing kickball and tons more to look forward too.
Rahhh I was going to write some other random shiz but my left hand is getting weird and cramped and I have to take a shower. So goodbye to you.
I always hoped that someday, everything would be all right
And now someday has arrived tonight.
